The well-known painter of heads Omer Kaleshi has been honored by the ILIRIA College with the title “Honorary Member of the Board of the ILIRIA College”.
This award that the ILIRIA College gives to eminent figures, within which are also the Albanian Prince Leka II Zog, the Arberesh Aleksandar Stipcevic, worldwide famous illyrologyst and the Albanian-American nobelist Ferid Murad, outstanding for his contribution in medical sciences.
Greeting speech in this occasion was held by the Academic Rexhep Qosja, which highly valued the work and the specialty of the Kaleshi painting. Qosja said, by announcing the painter Omer Kaleshi its Honorary Member of the Board, this College is showing the dedication not just to him, but to the art in general.
“In this manner ILIRIA College is honoring Omer Kaleshi but this way by doing him the Honorary Member of its Board, also Omer Kaleshi, with his work and with his name, is honoring this precious College in the Education of the Republic of Kosovo”, said Qosja, by considering this honor as a reciprocal and greatly meaningful between one creative creator and one institution of higher education.
Present in this event were figures and personalities of art, academic life, politics and other. As a sign of respect for the reception and for the price that the ILIRIA College has gave him, Omer Kaleshi donated to this institution one special painting of him
