14 June 2013- In the framework of cultural activities, ILIRIA College in partnership with the US Embassy Pristina, in the spaces of the ILIRIA College has opened the exhibition of photography titled: “Historic Photos of the U.S. from the Library of Congress, which will remain opened for next few days.
Aiming the development of the cultural aspect to the students’ and overall Albanian community as well approaching of them to the historical aspect of the United States, ILIRIA College in partnership with the US Embassy Pristina has opened the exhibition of the photography “Historic Photos of the U.S. from the Library of Congress”.
The photographs which are being exposed in this exhibition represent documentary materials upon the History of the United States, Lives, Interest and Achievements of the American People. These photographs and numerous others are part Mr. Paul Engelstad’s personal touring exhibition, a selection of the Library of Congress Prints and Photograph collection.
In the occasion of opening this exhibition, the representative from the US Embassy Mr. Paul Engelstad, Public Affairs Officer of the US Embassy Pristina talked about the historic content of the photographs, the importance that they carry within. He further pointed, that by being carrier of the visually aspects of activities, infrastructural aspects, important and random community happenings, meetings and official appearances of high representatives, these photographs allows to us the understanding and creating of clear ideas about the manner of how USA was built during the years.
Additionally, from high representatives of the ILIRIA College the participation of Mr. Paul and his good willingness and of the Embassy of the United States of America for organizing an exhibition of such profile has been evaluated as a special opportunity for approach and for well communication also for deepening the reciprocal partnership, love and respect between Kosovo and USA. While has been announced the visit of the US Ambassador in Kosovo, Tracey Jacobson in the ILIRIA College, as an indication of deepen the further reciprocal partnership. Present in this occasion was a considered number of students, academic staff, art benevolents and others.
