Within the project of ILIRIA College, supported by Embassy of the United States of America in Prishtina: “Increasing and Developing Capacities of ILIRIA International Review” has been organized a training for increasing capacities of managing staff of ILIRIA International Review, as part of the first phase of project implementation.
This training entitled: “Advancement of the international contemporary knowledge and practices of managing a scientific review” was led by the American expert J.D. Nancy McCaslin and had as an aim the identification of the existing state of the well functioning system in managing the ILIRIA College’ scientific review – ILIRIA International Review, as the single scientific journal in Kosovo and among few in region holding international indexing and identification of the needs for advancement of its functioning system parallel to the international parameters of scientific publishing.
This training was offered for the managing staff of ILIRIA International Review: chief editor, coordinators and officers and contained lectures, guidelines, discussions and clarifications in a number of thematics with which the work of management of the journal consists. The aim of this training was the identification of the requirements for advancement of the existing knowledge and practices of managing staff of the journal, in the highest level possible, in conformity with the international standards of managing a scientific journal.
By the end of the training, managing staff of IIR obtained certificates which prove their interactive participation and increase of their knowledge regarding the standard procedures of managing qualitative scientific publishing.
By this activity, the managing staff of ILIRIA International Review, in close cooperation with experts from USA, will draft manuals, guidelines, long-term managing policies, and strategy as well as standard forms of the journal, in conformity with international standards of work in a scientific journal.
