On 20 September 2014, for the second consecutive year, in the environments of the ILIRIA College Gallery in Prishtina, was held the closing ceremony of the 2nd Biennale of the International Colony of Painters “OMERIKA 2014”, organized in honor of the great Albanian painter with worldwide fame Omer Kaleshi, who lives and creates in Paris.
Në këtë ngjarje, të organizuar dhe e financuar nga Kolegji ILIRIA, përveç piktorit Omer Kaleshi (Francë) për ditë me radhë (11-20 Shtator, 2014) piktorë ndërkombëtar realizuan gjithsej 48 piktura, të cilat u ekspozuan në ceremoninë përmbyllëse dhe të cilat do të mbesin në Galerinë e Përhershme të Kolegjit ILIRIA. Piktorët pjesëmarrës në këtë koloni ishin: Bernhard HOLLEMANN (Austri), Liz BAERLEIN (Gjermani), Thuraya AL BAQSAMI (Kuvajt), Nilϋfer ERKAN (Turqi), Hasan NALLBANI (Shqipëri), Ilija SPASOVSKI(Maqedoni), Simonida FILIPOVSKA (Maqedoni), Reshat AHMETI (Maqedoni), Osman DEMIRI (Maqedoni), Pavle KUZMANOSKI (Maqedoni), Zake PRELVUKAJ (Kosovë), Veli BLAKÇORI (Kosovë), Musa KALAVESHI (Kosovë), Eshref QAHILI (Kosovë), Bardha BUZA (Kosovë), Emine KRASNIQI (Kosovë), Shqipe MEHMETI (Maqedoni), Refki GOLLOPENI(Kosovë).
In this occasion, organized and financed by ILIRIA College, in addition of the painter Omer Kaleshi (France), for few consecutive days (11-20 September 2014), international painters realized in total of 49 paintings, which were exposed in the closing ceremony and which will remain in the Permanent Gallery of ILIRIA College. Participating painters in this colony were: Bernhard HOLLEMANN (Austria), Liz BAERLEIN (Germany), Thuraya AL BAQSAMI (Kuwait), Nilϋfer ERKAN (Turkey), Hasan NALLBANI (Albania), Ilija SPASOVSKI (Macedonia), Simonida FILIPOVSKA (Macedonia), Reshat AHMETI (Macedonia), Osman DEMIRI (Macedonia), Pavle KUZMANOSKI (Macedonia), Shqipe MEHMETI (Macedonia), Zake PRELVUKAJ (Kosovo), Veli BLAKÇORI (Kosovo), Musa KALAVESHI (Kosovo), Eshref QAHILI (Kosovo), Bardha BUZA (Kosovo), Emine KRASNIQI (Kosovo), Refki GOLLOPENI(Kosovo).
Special guest in this occasion were Her Excellency, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Kosovo Ms. Songül Ozan, who greeted the initiative of ILIRIA College for such special event to the art and she putted emphasis on successful cooperation between ILIRIA College, Associations and Universities of Turkey.
In this occasion, to the all painters and contributors for realization of this activity was been given Prishtina symbol “Goddess on the Throne” as well as special gratitude letters for the engagement in this colony.
On the other hand, the international painters, participating in this colony, were expressed being closer to Kosovo and its artistic aspects, by finding the special opportunity for exchanging cultural aspects with local artists and local culture.
Exhibition of the 2nd Biennale of the International Colony of Painters “OMERIKA 2014” and Omer Kaleshi Gallery will remain open for few consecutive days, in order for art lovers to have the opportunity to see the work realized from the international artists.
